It's my birthday and I feel it is only appropriate to share a birthday card with you. Since I am now at the beach, this seemed like a perfect card to share. The Swirly Bird stamp set and coordinating dies have so many different uses. Obviously since I am such a beach girl, the sailboat just speaks to me.
I love how the clouds turned out on this card. I used a Post-It and tore an billowy edge and sponged with Soft Sky ink near the horizon line and added a little bit of Marina Mist at the top. This card could be my view this morning as we have a storm moving through but no rain yet. Ok, back to the card!. For the sea, I used Post-Its to mark the horizon and sponged with Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Dapper Denim. On another piece of cardstock, I colored it as well, adding a little bit of Emerald Envy in the sponging. I then stamped it using the swirly stamp in Dapper Denim ink. Finally I cut it out using the wavy die from the Swirly Scribbles framelits. The boat is stamped directly on the card and the sails were stamped separately and cut out.
