Craft Ink Resist Technique...

Hi Everyone!  I am back with a technique for Technique Tuesday.  This is a technique we did back in May at a technique class that I held.  What that means is that there may be some retired colors or stamp sets used but we have such wonderful products that you can substitute.  Let's get started....

You will need the following items for this technique:
  • White Craft Ink pad
  • Whisper White cardstock
  • Heat Gun
  • Brayer
  • Paper Towel
  • Classic Ink Pad (I used Marina Mist)
  • Stamp Set with a solid image (I used Flowering Flourishes

Stamp your image over the Whisper White cardstock using White Craft Ink.  Fortunately, we are still carrying the Black and White Craft Pads at the top of page 165.
Using your heat gun, make sure that your ink is completely dry.
Here you can see where the inking is.  I yellowed the picture in Photoshop so you can see it better.
 Ink up your brayer.
Roll over the Whisper White cardstock as many times as it takes to get a smooth inking all over.
Here is what it will look like when you are done.
Using a paper towel, rub over the areas that have the craft ink to remove the classic ink on top.
Isn't it gorgeous how it turned out?  This picture was taken when it was still a bit wet so it is much darker than the end result.
Here's the card that we made with this technique.

Here's what you will need to duplicate this card:
Stamps:       Flowering Flourishes
Inks:           Marina Mist; White Craft
Paper:        Marina Mist, Old Olive & Baja Breeze (retired)
Other:        Marina Mist and Old Olive Markers, Pearls, Lattice Embossing Folder.
                    Scallop Ribbon (retired)
