Today's card is made using Stampin' Up!'s The Open Sea stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog. I was inspired by a card made by Sandi MacIver but ended up changing it a bit.

Baker's Twine from summer mini
Gold brads
Crystal Effects
Heat Gun
Night of Navy ribbon
Cutter Kit & sponge for distressing
I thought that I would finish the inside of the card as well - keeping with the nautical theme. I think it really sets off the card. The globe on the front of the card was covered with Crystal Effects and then I took a heat gun to it. After a bit, it began to bubble and that's when I stopped. It really gave it an aged effect.
